SERVING THE

COMMUNITY

In 2013 A O CMIAID Moldova establised the first volunteer fire service in Moldova. This was done in co-peration with DSE Cahul.  Today, the CMIAID Fire Service continues to respond to emergencies in the Zirnesti and the surrounding villages and to provide support to the government fire service, DSE Cahul.

PROVIDING RESOURCES

Our first involvement with the fire service in Moldova was in 2012, when we brought two fire trucks from the UK to Moldova. One was donated to DSE Cahul and the other to the council in Zirnesti.

Since then we have continued to provide fire trucks and equipment to fire  services in Moldova. Equipment is usually transported by container to Moldova and donated to where there is a need.

Equipment that has been donated includes:

Fire trucks, uniforms (PPE), fire hoses, branches, helmets, gloves, foam concentrate, generators, pumps, rescue equipment, chemical decontamination tents, water, portable water tanks, torches, breathing apparatus and parts for fire trucks.
